Blah rambles - yes I am blogging (without photos)

Alright - I will blog.
I don't know why I am dreading it. Maybe because I am SOOO very far behind that I don't think that anything I post would do the large gap of absence justice. Anyhow, I thought I would take a second and ramble on about what is going on with the Eagars.
K is still chugging away in school. This trimester is way better than the past 4. He is learning hands on stuff and loving it. We spent gobs of money on his new "doctor" equiptment. They are fun toys, I have to admit. He is still working on the new master bath. I think we have plans to have it finished in about 34 months. (at the rate we are going now)
Little K is growing so fast. I have an awesome friend that took some photos of her and the fam. I will be posting those soon. She is learning spanish and can remember and say the spanish word for nose, eye, mouth, ear, hair, dog, cat, owl, rooster, horse, friend and I love you. So fun! She is still loving her tumbling class at the YMCA and learning how to follow instructions and take turns (kinda).
I am getting old. The just set a date for my 10 year HS reunion. It is next summer (when K is still in school of course). I am not sold on the idea of going, but will think about it.  I am sewing and crafting up a storm. I want to post pictures, I mean I WILL post pictures soon. Christmas presents and long overdue mending, paper dolls and Nativity costumes. I really dont have enough time to do all that I make plans for.
I never got around to posting the halloween pictures. I will. we went to a halloween thing at K's school and trick or treated around the school and then Little K won the award for cutest 2 year old costume. I have to say I was kinda proud. The hard hard work paid of. She still talks about being a panda. She loved it!
Oh, other great news. My Step dad Mr. Ian R. Gilyeat has decided to run for Senator of Arizona. I am so excited for him and my mom. I want to wish him good luck and hope you all check him out at http://www.electiangilyeat.com/
Off to bed, more to come soon...... I promise!!!

At it again!

It must be the time of year or something. I am so super addicted to crafting and creating right now. That is all that I want to do and think about. I am dreaming and designing while I am cleaning the house, cooking dinner and trying to sleep at night.
Upcoming projects:
* More pumpkins - I cant get enough of the cloth pumpkins
* Chore chart - A two year old can do chores, right??
* New Dinner Planner - I have a super cute new idea I want to try
* Skinny scarf - to crochet or soft fabric? not sure yet
* Holiday sign for Mantel - This is going to be BIG. just wait!
I am sure there is so many more to come. As I am getting my craft room finished, I am finding all sorts of cool things that I had intended to make and create and now I just need to find time to do them

The last like 5 days, I have (admittedly) spent way too much time blog surfing and book marking my favorite crafters. It is amazing to me how much people do and how creative they are.

So if you are in the mood to make and create, sew and scrap - call me!

Craft challenge

This months Craft Challenge was fun. I was sent some pink foam, blue eyelash yarn stuff, wood ovals, and butterfly fabric and some blue beads.
After a long time thinking I decided to make a princess crown and wand for Little K. She LOVEs it. For the wand I used a broken dowel from another project, and ribbon scraps a long with the butterfly fabric. The crown is made with the pink foam and to my surprise - it sews together very nicely.
OK now go to ChristyNelson.net and vote for me so I can win. I sometimes forget how competitive I am until I am losing!
Also, next month has a super cool prize so sign up now to join the challenge. Super fun!

Birthday Party - Zoo -

Our rainy day reading fort. She was in there for an hour or so. ALONE! that is HUGE. Why don't I do this more?!?
I bought this outfit for her a while back. But she is so skinny that she didn't fit into it until now. But she is so tall that her belly hangs out. Good thing it is a cute belly.

The wedding

I had the opportunity to help with my Step Brother, Brandon's Wedding. It was soo much fun. We did the food, decorating and my favorite, the flowers. I don't have a lot of experience with doing flowers but I love doing it. I didn't get great pictures either.
This is the little flowers for the food table
It was a beach/tropical wedding theme and this was my first time working with tropical flowers. It was fun
I wanted to make it feel less like a gym and more like a romantic wedding place so a few hours later and lots and lots of help we came up with this. (again, I am not a professional photographer)
Here are the lovely girls and beautiful bride Jayme. I love how the bridal flowers turned out.

100 Miles!!!

Kevin did so great on his first Century. I am so proud of him. He did it faster that we thought he was going to. Little K and I went and watched. Well, we sent him off, then met him at the 50 mile mark and then again at the end.
