Crafts, projests and spring....

I am very excited for spring to come.  We had Little K's best Friend come over and play and they had such a  good time. I made special Spring cookies and they did a St. Patricks day craft. Fun times! The pictures are not moving where I want them to. Argh.) Anyway I did some shutter makeovers. I the ugly orange brown is how I bought them for $3.00 and then I painted them up and added the vinyl lettering. I pretty much love them *sigh*

Crafting like crazy

Saturday I made a skirt for Little K. I bought this fabric back in October and have been so excited to make something. So I got this great book from the Library that shows how to make a skirt with subjects measurements (instead of a set paper pattern). I made the layered A line and love it! I had a bunch of fabric left and thought I would tease K and tell him I would make him a tie to match. He surprisingly agreed and so I went to work looking for patterns. I couldn't find one I liked so I took an old tie apart and used that as a template. I didn't really think that he would go through with it. It is kinda dorky but they match and that is SO cute!

Also, I was able to watch my friends son while she was giving birth to her second child. (Congrats Keara!) While he was here playing, I made him this shirt. It is a new thing I learned how to do with freezer paper. Super easy and fun!

Bloom Albums

Ok, I know I just posted but I wanted to share these great chipboad albums. For my birthday my mother-in-law got me a chipboard album from the company "heart of texas studio" She got me the "NAVY" book and I am going to be doing that book for my little sis who is in the navy. If you like to scrapbook (or even if you dont) you should check out their website at heartoftexasstudio.com or their blog at http://just-daily-life.blogspot.com/

Once I get mine done, I will put pictures on here. I am super excited to do it!
