I was so excited to spend a few hours in Flagstaff. We loved visiting our old ward and seeing the new babies (Clair is beautiful!) And bummed at miss seeing Bethany's and Camille's little girls. Of course it was awesome to see all my young women again too. I wish that we could have stayed and visited longer. But the road was calling our name.
We spent a few hours every day at the hospital with Grandpa. Some days were good, some not so good. When we left the valley to head back, he was being released, though they still did not know what was wrong with him. It was a good thing to be released because the hospital he was at was crappy. They were not taking good care of him. After being at his daughters house for a couple days, they took him to Mayo and he was admitted and is in GREAT care. Still not sure what is wrong but they are working hard to find out.
On our trip we did so many fun things! While in the valley we spent every morning in the pool and Little K got very comfortable kicking and going under. K worked with his very generous brother doing restaurant repair and maintenance. We went on the lake twice (thanks to my parents and K's Brother). We saw a big horn sheep while at the lake, which was a first for me. Little K had a blast at the lake. She loved the boat ride. She swam in the lake and loved splashing everyone. Little K learned about Barney (thanks mom) and now is crazy for Imagination Island.
While in Eagar, we played & played & played outside in the grass. Little K had a ball on the slide and chasing her cousins around. We went and saw a friends new puppies, which Little K was not impressed with. At one point she picked one up by the snout and was trying to throw it off her lap. We also saw a new colt and horse (both firsts for LK). Of course we went to the Eagar 4th Parade. It was fun, there was sirens, camels and lots of horses. By the time we left eagar, LK finally warmed up to K's dad, who when we arrived, would make LK cry if her just looked at her funny.
On the drive home, we took a little more time, and actually stayed in a hotel (instead of sleeping in the truck like on the way out there). We stopped and saw the bridges of Madison county (now I need to read the book:) We got home and found the house HOT and stuffy! With the windows closed and sealed up for 2 weeks it was stuffy and yucky. This combined with the stuffy muggy air outside inspired us to get window A/Cs. We found some on Craigslist (we love craigslist). For $250 we got 3 fairly new units. AWESOME. We are sleeping so good in our cool dry room.
Kevin will be starting school on Monday and we all are very excited. He is already studying his anatatomy vocabulary. I know it will be a tough time adjusting to him being gone so much and studying all the time, but it will be so worth it.
Now time for PICTURES!

I think I must have been at the hospital the very day you were at our ward! K is so cute. It looks like a fun trip, for the most part.
